I am not promoting ignorance. I was simply exploring the concept of "Ignorance is bliss" in relation to feelings; think of it as a metaphor for love, in a way. Sort of an exploration of the opposite of "I'd rather have loved and lost than never have loved at all".
Keep in mind that a chracter's opinions and the writer's opinions are not the same.
